Damon Nelson runs Launch Ninjas, Inc., a marketing agency in McKinney, Texas. The work splits three ways: building AI and SEO software, consulting on marketing automation, and producing video training for online entrepreneurs.

The long version is more fun
Damon grew up in Dallas and graduated from Lake Highlands High School, then headed to Texas A&M for a mechanical engineering degree and, later, an MBA.
He started out as a production engineer building five-inch projectiles for the Navy. From there he spent years managing the conversion of commercial airliners into private jets, including projects for Saudi royalty and for Wayne Gretzky.
Along the way he restored and collected muscle cars. Corvettes, four Mustangs, lots of Camaros, and a Smokey and the Bandit Trans Am. Then a three-location Rent-a-Wreck franchise. Then real estate. Then, about two decades ago, internet marketing finally got him.
Different worlds, same lesson: figure out the system, then make it repeatable.
That is the whole through line. Projectiles, jets, car lots, houses, software. It is always the system.
The books
He is a published author with more than twenty titles on Amazon across marketing, AI, travel, gardening, cooking, and children’s categories.
The two he poured the most into are High Speed Side Hustles and The Anticipation Ladder. Both are about AI, automation, and where the money moves next.
The thing people never guess: he writes and publishes cookbooks under pen names, and he writes historical fiction when he wants to kick back with a laptop and no agenda. He will not name them. You will have to find them on Amazon yourself.
The team
Fully remote, and more spread out than most. A business partner in London, a developer in India, and a virtual assistant in the Philippines.
He has never met any of them in person. He and his London partner are both World War II history buffs, and they keep promising each other they will finally shake hands in Normandy and walk the museums and battlefields together. It has not happened yet. He is looking forward to it.
Off the clock
Damon’s wife, Nita, is a fellow Aggie who went to McKinney High. The Nelsons have called McKinney home for a long time, and she is in the office often enough to have opinions about the remodel.
He has two grown sons. One works for the City of Austin, the other does CAD work in Houston. The biggest personality in the house belongs to Sydney, their Australian Shepherd. She is smart enough that they have to spell things around her, and she has since learned hand signals, so now they have to keep their hands still too.
You will find the Nelsons on the McKinney Square, at the farmers market, at church, or elbow-deep in a landscaping project. They hike the state parks of Texas and Oklahoma, squeezed in a couple of Colorado mountain hikes last year, and their favorite road trip runs the Gulf Coast from Ocean Springs, Mississippi to Seaside, Florida, and all the places in between.
